Hamper Details
Whisky After Dark takes its cue from the richer flavours that go so well with single malt whisky - dark chocolate, buttery toffee, roasted coffee beans and a little bit of salt.
Made grain to glass at the base of the Porongurup Range in WA's Great Southern, Woodlands Batch #5 is a small-batch, single-cask whisky matured in an ex-bourbon barrel. Smooth and full of character, it carries notes of orchard fruit and gentle spice through to caramel, toasted almond and a soft, creamy vanilla finish. It was awarded Gold at the 2025 Perth Royal Distilled Spirits Awards, a rather special bottle at the centre of this hamper.
The darker flavours work particularly well with the roasted bitterness of the chocolate-coated coffee beans, while caramelised hazelnuts add crunch and a little sweetness. Dark chocolate and licorice is a combination with plenty of depth, and the savoury pretzels and nuts provide a welcome contrast.
Macadamias in their shells add something different again. These are raw macadamias from Cowaramup and we've included a stainless steel nut cracker, so cracking a few open to have alongside the whisky becomes part of the enjoyment.
It's rich, grown-up and just a little decadent, which seems entirely appropriate for Whisky After Dark.

Paul at WA Wood Designs is a true craftsman, creating beautiful serving and kitchen boards from salvaged WA timbers that would otherwise go to waste. Working from his home workshop, he shapes each piece by hand, letting the natural character of the wood guide the design. His wife Jackie gives every board its final touch, applying multiple layers of food-grade oil that bring out the grain and give a high-end finish. You’ll often find Paul & Jackie at the Busselton & Dunsborough weekend markets and others around the wider South West, sharing their work with locals and tourists who want to take home a stunning piece of our region’s timbers.
