A good whisky doesn't need good company, but choosing what to have alongside it is half the fun.
The Distiller's Selection explores that idea of blending flavours with an assortment that moves from smoky and savoury through to citrus, coffee and dark chocolate. There are macadamias to crack, smoked almonds, black lime & chilli peanuts, caramelised onion chutney and black olive tapenade, followed by dark chocolate-coated confit orange and coffee beans. A stainless steel jigger is included for a well-measured pour.
The star of the show though is Woodlands Batch #5 Single Malt Whisky, produced grain to glass at the base of the Porongurup Range in WA's Great Southern. Matured in a single ex-bourbon cask, it has notes of orchard fruit and gentle spice, caramel, toasted almond and creamy vanilla. Batch #5 was awarded Gold at the 2025 Perth Royal Distilled Spirits Awards and Silver at the 2026 Melbourne Spirit Awards - it really is that good!
The Distiller's Selection is less about one flavour pairing and more about giving a whisky lover the chance to find their own favourites. Whisky first, and a very interesting selection to go with it.

Hippo Lakes Caramelised Onion Chutney 210g

Treeton Valley Raw Macadamias in the Shell 500g
Fresh from the farm in Cowaramup, raw macadamias in their shell have a deliciously rich buttery flavour. Don't forget to add the macadamia nut cracker, a normal nut cracker just won't do the job.

WA Wood Design by Paul
Paul at WA Wood Designs is a true craftsman, creating beautiful serving and kitchen boards from salvaged WA timbers that would otherwise go to waste. Working from his home workshop, he shapes each piece by hand, letting the natural character of the wood guide the design. His wife Jackie gives every board its final touch, applying multiple layers of food-grade oil that bring out the grain and give a high-end finish. You’ll often find Paul & Jackie at the Busselton & Dunsborough weekend markets and others around the wider South West, sharing their work with locals and tourists who want to take home a stunning piece of our region’s timbers.
